Which Roman Emperor is this?

by Outrageous-Mirror-75

I recognise that this isn't a faith-based sub but was wondering which Roman Emperor could fit this description from the Book of Daniel :

"When the richest provinces feel secure, he will invade them and will achieve what neither his fathers nor his forefathers did. He will distribute plunder, loot and wealth among his followers. He will plot the overthrow of fortresses--but only for a time"

Opagea

This figure is Antiochus IV Epiphanes of the Seleucid Empire.

Daniel 11 starts with Alexander the Great defeating the Persian Empire and then his kingdom being divided. We then get a lengthy series of passages about kings of the north and south. These are the Seleucid and Ptolemaic kings, respectively. The final king of the north, who notably persecutes the Jewish people and desecrates the Temple, is Antiochus IV.
