Is there any written record even if its in myth form of the human population decreasing to 6,000 people on the planet?

There is a theory the "genetic bottleneck theory", that between 50,000 and 100,000 years ago, human populations sharply decreased to 3,000–10,000 surviving individuals. I wonder if there are any written texts or tablets in Summeria that might account for these times?

In the Sumerians Kings List Lines 1-39 before the flood lists
eight kings who ruled over five cities for a total of 241,200 years. The
section ends with the line "Then the flood swept over". Lines 40-265
list another 24,510 years of kings rule. I guess the creation of the list Is said
to be dated to 2112–2004 BC, but how far back does the Sumerians kings list
really go?
