What are some of the differences between Scandinavian peoples during the Viking age?

Obviously there was a lot of similarities between Swedes, Danes, and Norwegians during the Viking age; things such as language, material culture, and sea-faring abilities. What would be some of the differences between these groups though? Does the archaeological or literary record show that certain weapons, clothing, or food sources were preferred in specific areas? Aside from slight differences in language, I presume that peoples of this time could tell each other apart, even if foreigners referred to them all as “Danes” or “northmen,” so, what might be some ways that the people of Scandinavia would tell each other apart?
