Let me be very clear here, I mean an African-American, and I mean before the war. There’s very little info on how tourism in Nazi Germany was (and for good reason), so I’m actually quite curious. I presume it’d be extremely racist, but I struggle to find any first-hand accounts.
Actually there was a report of one of the black athletes who did partake in the 1936 Olympics and as far as I can recall he said it was fine. Better even than the US where he was just a ni**er. My mom visited Frisco in the early 1980s and she talked to Vietnam veterans, one of African-American descent said he had fallen in love with a German girl and should have stayed in Germany.
