What was the immediate aftermath of the abolishment of slavery like in America?

by MaladroitNeophyte

The system of slavery was a major part of the nation, how did the immediate abolishment of slavery effect the economy and larger society?

There were millions of slaves who up until then were completely dependent on their masters, how were they affected with nowhere to go and nothing to do?

They were arrested for trumped up BS charges and sent to prison at which point they were legally sold back into slavery as the law allowed and intended. The ones that remained free banded together and saved what money they could and built thriving black communities which were swiftly burned to the ground after being looted by white mobs and then flooded like Lake Lanier or like Central Park in NY. Then, the government moved the jobs out, incentivised the separation of the black family with welfare programs that didn't allow black men in their own homes and then the government introduced heroin and Cocain into the community. They had the media glorify the gangster lifestyle and at this point the black warrior class is self neutralizing. Kanye is not wrong.
