Hi everyone, I know that the "I want to learn all of history, how do I start?" question has already been posed on this sub, but I have a specific version of it that should sound less ambitious.
I am a 28 yo mexican International Relations graduate, and I decided to devote some of my free time in the next few years to studiying history, since I recall loving history exams during my college studies. So I do not start entirely from scratch, especially for what regards contemporary history and international relations history.
My goal would be to gain a general understanding of global history from ancient Greece onwards, so that later on I can see what period I like the most, so that I can focus on it. What I lack is a "framework" for me to interpret the books that I read in a structured way, making sense of history itself and not just of the notions.
My plan right now is to contact someone from the college I graduated and ask suggestions on what courses they would find appropriate for this task, and read the books in the syllabus of said courses. However, reading is not always possible to me, so I would like to add a video counterpart. Is there any YouTube Channel with great and somewhat in depth content (don't wanna sound cocky, but 30 mins videos about WWII aint gonna cut it, I studied some popular topics in depth) that covers the whole history at least of the western world? Or maybe some specific channels for historical periods? I would like to start chronologically, in Order to have the basis for the "next" historical period in line Thank you.
TL;DR: Looking for in depth history video content that ranges from ancient times to contemporary history
