Is there any proof for civilizations earlier than the Vikings to discover the Americas? Or just suggestions?

We all know Columbus was last or second to discover the "American" Continents. We also know the Vikings discovered the American continent before him, be it way more north. We also know that Thor Heyerdal experimented and succeeded in Sailing to America with an Papyrus boat ancient egypt style. Does that suggest that it was possible for the egyptians? Or was Thor Heyerdals experiment a hoax or mistaken? Are there any chances of like egyptians or Phoenicians to have discovered the American continent before the Vikings by sea travel.

Edit1: to clarify, I am interested in Europeans or people from the region of the Mediterranean sea (maybe ancient ones) to have reached America by crossing the atlantic ocean. But if possible I am also interested in Non-european civilizations to have reached the Americas by Sea/Ship/Boat. Also the question shall not suggest that I think the indigenous people of the continents America were not civilizations with highly developed cultures. If this question is too broad and not fit for this subreddit, I wish to apologize.

Firstly asking whether "civilizations earlier than the Vikings discover[ed] the Americas" makes it seem like civilisations in the Americas did not exist, which they did of course as you can read about in the FAQ. When it comes to intercontinental contact, you there is this answer where u/UncagedBeast considers what evidence we have for Polynesian-South American contact and later in the thread u/ALotOfReading answers a question about Heyerdahl, among other comments
