Post Nazism, Germany was still reeling from the loss of WW1 and with that brought hefty economic issues. Despite this, Germany, and Berlin in particular, was an extremely advanced place to live when it came to the arts, culture and sexual freedom - particularly between the years of 1924 and 1929.
