I recently learned that during the summer and winter months, there are cities in the North of Norway where the sun never sets and never rises for long periods of time. I was wondering how this might have influenced their religion/mythos in the past and what explanations they gave as to why the sun did not set in that area during that time. Additionally, others have also recommended that I ask more specifically about the Sami culture of that area.
