While I've seen a fair amount of scholarly publications concerning the relationship between Ancient Greek colonies and their mother cities, do we know what the realtionship between the colonies and the local indigenous population were like? For example do we know anything about how colonies like Massalia or Emporion interacted with the local Celtic peoples?
