I’ve tried to google a book on this era but all I’m coming up with is a hard to find esoteric book called free banking by Hugh rockoff
A decent intro to the subject of banking, credit and debt in the period is Scott Reynolds Nelson's A Nation of Deadbeats. Nelson covers a lot of ground and so has to over-simplify a bit, and he also is on a mission to de-bunk notions about how much more solid monetary policy and credit was in the 18th-19th c. ( the book came out not long after the 2008 banking meltdown). But it's a very good read. If you want to do a deeper dive on the Bank War ( which is pretty complicated) , Robert Remini's 1967 Andrew Jackson and the Bank War is still useful.
