In short: There is a group of people, who, without having a contract from the start, have slayed or captured bandits. Now they want a reward. In a city, who do they go to for such reward?

I understand that the Yugoslav Partisans were responsible for some atrocities following the Bleiburg reparations. I guess my question can be broken down into three general sections:
1. What caused the reparations in the first place?
I understand the axis forces wanted to surrender in Austria, but I'm not entirely sure why. How did the reparations happen? Who was involved - mostly Germans and Italians?
2. What atrocities were committed at this time?
I've read that the Partisans executed a number of prisoners. Was their motivation just from pent up anger from the occupation? Was it widespread or confined to a few units/areas? Was it organised at all or did it just happen?
3. What was Tito's involvement?
Was he aware of what was going on? Did he take any measures to prevent the atrocities or just let it happen? Did he receive any condemnation as a result of it? If so, was it fair condemnation?

In "Roll, Jordan, Roll" Eugene Genovese quotes several ex-slave narratives which report that while they (the ex-slaves) definitely preferred freedom, that life had become materially harder for them after emancipation. Materially harder in terms of obtaining food, clothes, security in old-age, etc. Does this imply that former slave holders were able to cut costs after emancipation? Was slavery perpetuated as a system due purely to racism after it was no longer profitable as a labor system? I intend no offense by these questions, I am aware of the inherent brutality and horror of chattel slavery.

In Western popular culture (books, video games, etc.) the German Wehrmacht is often presented as the embodiment of courage, honor, and self-sacrifice, even though they were complicit in many war crimes on the Eastern Front (the Commissar Order, assisting the Einsatzgruppen). How did the "Clean Wehrmacht" myth get promoted and why has it seemingly been so successful?

I know a lot of the nationalistic ideals of the Holocaust were pretty heavily grounded in eugenics. My question is more specifically about what was borrowed from the U.S. in terms of things originally being done in the U.S. before being adopted by Nazi Germany.
Where there cases of Hitler saying, “hey, this is what the Americans are doing and it’s a great idea”?
I know some specific practices were borrowed, such as gases used at the Mexico/U.S. border later being used (albeit in much higher concentrations) at Nazi death camps.

Was the main purpose of early railroads within city's to take travelers who made the same journey every day. Or did most of the travelers use rapid transit to visit relatives or conduct business on a less regular basis.

Remembering the criticisms Paul Nuttall received in 2017 for owning a house in Stoke-on-Trent for a by-election and not living there, was the same requirement to live in the electoral constituency you are running in also around in the mid-20th century?
Enoch Powell’s first attempt to get elected was in the former Normanton constituency, but I’ve never heard people alive at the time recall if he lived there. It would be of interest to local history to find his house, despite his notoriety.
In case anyone’s wondering, I checked newspaper coverage - he caught the flu and there was a snow storm so he had someone else campaign, saying the NHS is part of a Nazi plot because welfare is evil.

Referring specifically to the execution of Sejanus' daughter and the murder of Caligula's daughter at the time of his assassination (sources below)
Sejanus' daughter "His children also were put to death by decree, the girl (whom he had betrothed to the son of Claudius) having been first outraged by the public executioner on the principle that it was unlawful for a virgin to be put to death in the prison. His wife Apicata was not condemned, to be sure, but on learning that her children were dead, and after seeing their bodies on the Stairway..." Cassius Dio, Roman History, LVIII.11.5-6.
"It was next decided to punish the remaining children of Sejanus, though the fury of the populace was subsiding, and people generally had been appeased by the previous executions. Accordingly they were carried off to prison, the boy, aware of his impending doom, and the little girl, who was so unconscious that she continually asked what was her offence, and whither she was being dragged, saying that she would do so no more, and a childish chastisement was enough for her correction. Historians of the time tell us that, as there was no precedent for the capital punishment of a virgin, she was violated by the executioner, with the rope on her neck. Then they were strangled and their bodies, mere children as they were, were flung down the Gemoniae." Tacitus, Annals, V.9.
Caligula's daughter "...and his daughter had her brains knocked out against a wall." Suetonius, Caligula, 59.
EDIT: changed Cassius Dio reference from the incorrect Cassius Dio, LVIII.5-6. (typo) to Cassius Dio, Roman History, LVIII.11.5-6. Also NSFW tag was added (presumably by a mod as I don't know how to add them, so a sincere thanks to whoever marked the post as NSFW).

I just read an essay that claimed that women in early Roman history did not have a "real" first name. Alledgedly women would receive the first name Major, Minor and then would be numbered afterwards. Christianity apparently prompted a change in this practise.
Is this true? Why would women not receive a first name? And what kind of influence did Christianity have in the naming of women in the Roman empire?

I've noticed that there are areas where Albanian is spoken in these two countries. I have a few questions:
How and when did Albanians come to be in these places?
Did there used to be more Albanian speakers? Have some either returned to Albania or assimilated?
Were Albanians not impacted by post WWI population transfers?

I know there is a reading list in this wiki, which I have consulted, but there's seems to be conflicting views between in the matter. My research has led me to three books, which I would like your expert opinion on:
The Red Flag- David Priestland The Russian Revolution – Pipes A People's Tragedy: The Russian Revolution: 1891-1924
I want a good introduction to the Revolution and not afraid of a difficult text. However, I don't have to know everything about it - just a good overview
