Is there somewhere I can get a full, massive European Royal family tree? I've tried looking, but there doesn't seem to be a full one--or, at least, not where I have looked.

I can't remember the exact date she told me unfortunately. My Grandmother was born and raised in Australia before marrying my Kiwi Grandfather and emigrating and she was always staunchly supportive of equal rights for the aborigine people of Australia. If there was sanctioned hunting of humans in the 20th century was there any outcry (or any response at all) from people such as diplomats or any non-Australians, either within Australia or overseas?

As someone who has visited Auschwitz and had relatives die in the holocaust I understand the atrocities committed by the Nazis and don't mean to make light of these acts or make them seem any less cruel than they really are. But I've always been curious, did any of the medical experiments done by the Nazis and Dr. Mengele provide any advances or breakthroughs? Also did the Nazis make any scientific breakthroughs?

I know pornography has existed pretty much since Greek civilization or maybe even earlier, and hookers too. However, pornography was either something completely outlawed or a thing only the incredibly wealthy could get their hands on if they wanted to. Where and when did pornography (and to an extent prostitution) become something a working citizen could purchase instead of just the rich. And I guess as a follow up question, what kind of citizen would be the first to produce porn, seeing as most of them were either in factories/mines or the artists/students had no time for that kind of stuff (probably).

I watch wrestling off and on, and in one segment it was mentioned that "pro wrestling has been around for a long time. In fact, President Lincoln was a professional wrestler at one point!" Is there any documentation or proof of this, and is it the same kind of pro wrestling that we have today, with predetermined finishes and moves designed to not be damaging? Or was it more like Olympic wrestling?

He started what would become the largest civilization that the world ever had. Of course this civilization had to come through war, lots of deaths, and warmongering. Even with the obvious bad, he managed to control this vast of an empire, preserve some cultures, etc. So, do historians view him as a disgusting person? Maybe not to the extent of Hitler, Stalin, etc., but still a villain of history?

I've heard that in Medieval times as armor advanced swords became less effective and were replaced by most soldiers by weapons like maces, lances, and halberds. Yet there seems to be an association with medieval times and swords.
Then we also tend to have a romantic notion of swordplay in later periods like the renaissance with more of a focus on single combat fighting with rapiers in more of a civilian role.
What I'm wondering is does the actual historical record point to a clear high water mark for the use and mastery of swords?

I'm looking for book recommendations that cover the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, formation of the current states in the Middle East, Sykes-Picot, Kurds, Palestine, etc. I realize that this is a WIDE swath of history to cover, but what I am primarily interested in with regard to these events, is the political order that formed out of the creation of these various states. It seems the more I read about modern Middle East news, from ISIS to the Kurds, to Iraq to Turkey, that much of it centers around this post WWI political division. Any book recommendations that focus on this would be much appreciated.

I have noticed that families who have been in North America for a long time have spellings to their sur names that are quite uncommon/ rare in the 21st century.

I'm working on a historical piece that references tall ships. In it there is a character who looks through a round glass porthole. The time period is around the mid to late 1600.
When did round glass portholes become a thing? I thought that they were mostly square then and used for cannons at the time.

I was wondering since there is a picture showing differences of pure breed dogs from late 1800, and dogs from now, and they look really different. So I would like to see if there are some paintings showing them or just knowing from texts what were the most common breeds back then.
Also, Did they use dogs for fighting? And not between other dogs, I mean in battles or attacking people. Thanks

The 4th crusade screwed Constantinople big time, is this the reason why the ottomans were able to capture it, and if the 4th crusade didn't screw everything up is it possible that the ottomans never came in europe?
