He got credited with 519 destroyed tanks which is a ridiculously large number. I have read about trials conducted by Soviets, Germans and the Allies that show how difficult it was to even damage tanks with bombs, and yet Rudel had destroyed more tanks than even highest scoring tank aces. Hi I was just wondering if something like PTSD was a recognised issue in armies such as the Roman or Greek armies. Theres generally things mentioned about honour, but was PTSD an issue?

If a slave owner was forcing it's slaves to reproduce what would happen if the slave baby was born albino but came from 2 black parents? Would they free it? Make it a slave? Raise it?

Right now I can go on to Wikipedia and read for hours about countless Greek gods and heroes and legends. You can go to Barnes and Noble's and pick up anthologies of Greek legends. But what percentage of this huge body of knowledge would be known to a Greek farmer? Is what we see on Wikipedia right now the aggregate of hundreds of years Greek myths making that wouldn't have been present in the Greek world all at once?

This article says that "raping a Black woman was not a crime for the majority of this nation's history". I've also often heard that it was legal to rape a slave, though I'm not sure whether this was some kind of exception in the legal code, or whether the police just did not generally care if a slave was raped.
I went on Casetext and could find barely any rape cases that took place before the 1960s, let alone rape cases in the antebellum South. How is it known how the police felt about different types of rape cases in those times? Did they investigate rapes at all?
My history teacher told me that there were not really criminal trials for rape in much of America during the nineteenth century, and that generally rape was addressed extra-judicially, with mob violence and lynching if the victim was a woman of some prominent social position, and otherwise not generally addressed.
How true was this, and if it was true, how do we know? In any case, if rapists were the sorts of criminals that were never really expected to be put on trial, and often were not even really expected to be punished, why make rape a crime in the first place?

I saw this video being shared this morning on the facebook, and I wanted to ask if anyone had any reliable information for either side of this argument. I don't have a side or angle on the subject, I'm just interested in separating 'spin' from truth. Perhaps it's not meaningful to think of cultural history in the objective terms of 'race', since it is a somewhat modern concept. However this video is seriously dividing my friends - who, by the way, are not particularly knowledgeable or interested in the history of peoples of the earth or anthropology.

I have been trying to research this man as well as a few others from the 15th century, but would like to get a grasp for their personal beliefs, not simply by what others have said of them, but what they've said themselves. He has apparently written several books, so I'm sure there must be a place of the internet for such an archive or at least a place I could get a hard copy of his works. Is there a particular site that could be of assistance? I have had no luck.

I'm aware of piracy but not the individual events other than the attack at San Juan De Ulua in 68' and that Elizabeth financed drakes circumnavigation in 77' what individually did they do that inflamed the Philip so much? I already know about Cadiz in 87' by the way.
