I understand that the Khoisan were in South Africa before anybody. But a lot of black South Africans do claim to be indigenous. How valid are these claims, etc?

How can they remain credible to what they say without a witness?

Of course while they were fighting a common enemy, to what extent was there coordination of strategy or resources? Was it simply a matter of the Japanese and Germans having mutual enemies or do we see examples of them actively working together?

I would also be interested in any historians who cover this area.

I often read about Kai-shek and how his government was corrupt and a failed institution. Why did China implode and come out the way it did in the 50s? Were there any key moments that could've changed it? I read something about a kidnapping of Kai-shek, but otherwise remain ignorant.

I'm an anthropologist who studies Christian mission in Africa, and in my research it's been blindingly obvious that becoming a missionary (or going on a short-term mission trip) is a super white thing to do. Less than five percent of the American missionaries I encountered in my research weren't Caucasian. But many Black Americans are Christians, whether they belong to historically black churches or not. Plenty of Latino/a people are Christian as well.

What are some of the factors that have contributed to this?

A straight request, namely, I need sources and works done on the archaeology of medieval arrowheads, specifically war arrows, from Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Anything regarding the quality of the material used or the forging processes(steel tipping, quenching etc.) would be helpful as it is merely a part of a broader research into war related archery.

In regards to how people commonly designate separate ages of a civilization, if this way of thinking was applied to the inhabitants of the New World just before the Europeans arrived, in what age would they have been considered? Specifically, what age of the eight eras of history (featured in "History of the World") would author and historian J.M. Roberts consider them in? (Pre-History, First Civilizations, Classical, or Medieval?)

I've seen some pictures for funerals of major Nazi figures, but not for average soldiers. I understand (and correct me if I'm wrong) that letters of condolences were sent to the family, along with their version of a dog tag (what were they called in Germany?). Would the family be given a special flag for their fallen loved one? Would there be other soldiers there to pay respects or give a gun salute? Would there be anything else that would demarcate this funeral from that of an average civilian?

In ninteenth century Europe, many Jews were active in communist, socialist, and unionist movements; which confuses me because in western and central Europe (not eastern Europe), Jews mainly had white collar jobs such as lawyers, doctors, scholars, etc. Why would they support communism, wouldn't they lose their wealth?

Why does the Democratic Party have superdelegates; what's the origin and the purpose? (Is it because they wanted to keep the party under the control of elites?)

When the US became independent, it brought down the North government. When Algeria broke away from France, it broke the entire French Republic. Did anything similar happen in Britain following the Irish Free State formation?

I would like to know What the infantry standard bearer's rank was supposed to be during the Civil War. I am under the impression that a sergeant, called a color Sergeant, carried the flag, however, in quite a number of historical excerpts, the flag was carried by a corporal, and when the first Confederate battle flags were given, they seemed to be received by an Ensign. My impression was the rank of Ensign was a cavalry rank. I am not sure if the Ensign rank carried over to infantry, during the 1860's, and maybe the Ensign carried the flag on parade? and the Color Sergeant carried the flag into battle? And are many Corporals named in the histories because the Color Sergeant had already fallen? Or Did the Color Sergeant carry the main regimental flag and a Corporal carry a secondary flag as part of the regimental command? After consulting a number of paintings and historical accounts, I cannot say with certainty which rank was carrying the various Colors, at a particular time, for either North, or South. I am not simply trying to determine whether, when painting a toy soldier holding a flag, to add 2 chevrons, or three to the figure's upper sleeve, but to be accurate, and to understand, why?
