When I think of African Christianity only Egypt and Ethiopia come to mind. Would it be fair to say that the African slave trade was the first contact most of those Africans had with the Christian religion?

There weren't any "Rosetta Stones" for cuneiform, right? So how did we figure out how to read these languages?

I've been watching more of these shows like "Legend of the Superstition Mountains." I tried finding information to see if any of these type of shows have actually found anything during filming, but came up empty.
Has there been any significant archeological or historical finds on these shows?

As far as I know, no indigenous languages are still spoken in Iraq. Was there a kind of post-Babylonian language spoken in the area at the time?

I've been reading up on some King Arthur literature the past few weeks and I've come across several pieces that mention the sword he pulled out from the stone to be Excalibur, and there are also some books that mention it to be named Caliburn
Are they one and the same or are they separate swords entirely?

My professor claimed that in the time period of Nazi Party rising to power and the invasion of Poland, the German economy was pretty much flawless. How accurate or inaccurate is this statement?

Every reference I can find, even on official sources, is mononymic. How did this happen? Were multiple names not a standard practice in 1950? Even more strangely, I can't find any source that remarks on his lack of a second name

Do all/nearly all ledgers and records line up mathematically to say that today is indeed a Wednesday?
What are the chances that a day was skipped, or are there any disputes as to the date within groups who use the same calendar?

I really enjoy listening to all of Dan Carlin's podcasts and he seems very reputable, but I've just now thought to make an effort to verify that everything he talks about is both accurate and balanced in its perspective. Are there certain episodes that didn't do a good job, or (hopefully) is Dan right on the money.

I was recently in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and saw a massive trophy - a wooden sort of coat-of-arms that once belonged to a British flagship that was captured by the Dutch and hauled into port - and wanted to learn more on the Anglo-Dutch Wars. I don't quite know where to jump in, however.
Does anyone have a book to recommend on the topic?

Stained glass windows of [Lee] (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/67/Robert_E_Lee_Stain_Glass.JPG/640px-Robert_E_Lee_Stain_Glass.JPG) and Jackson in the Washington National Cathedral.
These men were rebel military commanders in what was in its simplest terms a revolt (not to mention a revolt at least in part to protect slavery). Yet they apparently came to be held in high enough and widespread regard that they were placed in stained glass in the Washington National Cathedral. It is astonishing to me (particularly given the effort for political correctness in today's society) that they found a place in the National Cathedral in D.C. How did this come about?

I was reading early journals of Allen Ginsberg and it sounded like in the mid to late 30s the world knew WW2 was coming. I've noticed that in some other texts too. It's like they are heavy with the knowledge of what's to come. Is this correct? If so, what factors led observers to see war as inevitable? By what year could you say people knew another major war was coming?
