This is from an avid Shakespeare actor/reader, I've always believed he wrote the plays, but is there significant evidence that could make a strong argument otherwise?

I read somewhere that raiding Irish pirates were a problem for Roman Britain. Did the vikings make technological advances in the meantime or did the inhabitants of Ireland become more peaceful? Or, indeed, what?

I was researching the expansion of the Mongol Empire recently and was interested to discover that at no point in their expansion did the Mongols seem to make significant headway into what is now the country of India.
Is there any particular reason for this?

It is my understanding that most of what we know came from relatively recent excavations of clay tablet writings and snippets of knowledge passed on though the ages. But searching for information on Assyria and Babylon delivers some detailed information.

I've read a lot of posts about Germany's plan post WWII, and some others about how a large scale invasion of the United States was practically impossible. What I don't know is what Japan's plan was when they attacked America. What was their long-term goal for the Pacific War? I read somewhere that they would have tried to force a peace treaty had they won at Midway but I'm not sure of the accuracy and would like more detail.

Did they have a fair trial? Did they have any rights when they got arrested?

It sounds like a basic question, and I suppose it is.
Did they just have way more money, tanks, planes, and better war technology than everybody else after WWII?

Last night, as I was watching 12 Years as a Slave, I started thinking what prevented slaves from revolting against their masters? Especially if, at the time, the slavers were outnumbered and with only one gun? Surely 10-15 slaves armed with work tools like machetes could overtake them, couldn't they? I'm sure it happened in rare instances, but why not more often?

TL;DR Need book/paper suggestions for researching the topics listed below.
I'm writing a paper that compares the growth of various forms of entertainment. The ultimate goal is to provide a book-length analysis of the burgeoning professional videogame industry (esports) and where it stands in relation to more established entertainment forms. Specifically I'm looking for scholarly books/papers on the history of the following topics:
I am not opposed to popular histories. Just because it is popular history doesn't mean it can't also be scholarly (I would call Daniel Yergin's The Prize a scholarly popular history). What is important to me is that the books or papers point me in the direction of useful primary sources and additional secondary ones.
I'm also interested in supplementing my research on specific entertainment forms by utilizing lessons from seemingly unrelated industries into this paper's analysis. The following industries are ones I am looking at as possible sources for inspiration:
Finally, I am also going to be looking at the ways that different industries and entertainment mediums have dealt with social issues such as the treatment of women and minorities, unionization, and changes in the industry (new competition, downsizing, market downturns changing profitability).
Thanks!
FYI: My degree is in American History and am doing this paper as a personal pet project of mine (in other words, it's not a term paper assignment). I have an economist friend of mine helping me for when I need to do side by side economic comparisons.

I'd be so appreciative if somebody could help me with this school project. I have to have two people he would disagree with, and two people he would agree with. I have that he would disagree with Joseph McCarthy, but I'm having so much trouble finding out how he would feel towards some of these other people. I've been trying all morning but I've had no luck. Can somebody help me out?

I received my Grandfathers purple heart and the paper work that came with it still in the tube. For some reason there are two copies in two separate tubes. Why are there two sets? We only have one purple heart. He was KIA December 24th 1944, I know for sure he is buried in Belgium. If I find no other information about him in the papers, Was he killed in the battle of the bulge? Also I have a pair of his boots and shoes. When you died in WWII did they send that kind of stuff home to the family? Because the boots still have dirt on the bottom and I am just in awe to be honest. Am I holding a pair of boots that were maybe at the battle of the bulge? Also I did Google the date he died. If anyone has any specific info on that date or even know a source where I can purchase newspapers from that date it would greatly be appreciated.
