My question is...was it related to rank what kind of weapon you had?

I am searching scientific and academic material about the real existence of Mohammed prophet. I found references about Seven Kalish debate, professor of Munster University, who claims that Mohammed never existed. But I did not find any articles or books from this professor. My question is: this teacher is from what school? He is a post-modern revisionist? What is the academic consensus about the existence of Mohammed Prophet? Like Jesus or Moses, there is no proofs?
PS: I'm interested in academic debates and not in believers arguments
Thanks!

Correct me if this is just my perception bias, but I've noticed that many Asian nations and kingdoms in the last few hundred years are usually isolationists. Additionally although not as common, their leaders are not just political figures but are also worshipped a religious figures. Is there a historical regional reason for this? Or is this randomly correlated?
Japan - Edo period. Shinto's sun emperor.
China - Qing dynasty. Chairman Mao's cult of personality.
Kingdom of Korea - Josean dynasty mirroring Japan's Edo period.
North Korea - post WW2 isolation. Dear Leader cult.
Tibet - pre WW2 access to Lhasa. Dalai Lama as political and spiritual leader.
Myanmar/Burma - post WW2 military dictatorship economic isolationism.

A somewhat obscure claim in American political circles is that Joseph McCarthy was right about the Soviet Union's degree of infiltration in the American political system and what it was costing the US. It is also claimed that many of those he accused were, indeed, communists or communist spies. How right or wrong is this?

I often hear people invoke 'Judeo-Christian values/heritage/civilization' in political debates. I have a suspicion that this phrase was rare before the Second World War and the Final Solution, because I think pre-WW2 Christians would probably not group themselves with Jews. This google graph shows the use of the word over time (courtesy of sonicbanana47). The line goes way up after WW2.
Is my suspicion correct or incorrect? And how did the phrase grow to be so ubiquitous?
(I've asked the question before but it didn't receive an answer).

I haven't been able to find much information on this topic. I know we get the 30 day month from them and the Roman calendar was heavily influenced by the Egyptians, but no one ever mentions what year the Egyptians perceived it to be. In fact I haven't been able to find the year for any ancient calendar system. So really what I want to know is, what year did the ancients count from, what was the true first year?

In my research on the Federal Theater Project I came across a pamphlet titled "Treason in Congress", which labeled itself as the findings of an investigation of the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUAA). This pamphlet made some pretty serious claims, some being that the Congressmen on the HCUAA were facist and/or Nazi sympathizers, and the Committee hired Special Investigators that had direct affiliation with pro-facist/pro-Nazi groups. "Treason in Congress" was published by a group that was extremely anti-HCUAA, but I'm wondering how accurate their claims are. Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject, and could point me to some sources that I could look into?

In most cases it makes enough sense
A serf has a certain amount of crops that didn't get sent to the local lord or get eaten by his family. Easy enough to trade food.
A craftsman could make tools and nails to trade, so that should work out
But a member of a militia? Would he keep a second job on the side and be exempt from taxes due to his service?

As far as I'm aware, Egypt eventually became thoroughly Romanised, but in the early years of Roman rule were the symbolic trappings of the office of pharoah attached to Augustus to smooth the transition? I suppose in more concrete terms, I'm asking whether Augustus was ever described as a pharoah in Egyptian writing or depicted in the guise of a pharoah in art, and whether (for instance) religious or civil ceremonies requiring the presence of the pharoah were continued after 30 BCE with Augustus or the provincial governor standing in.

So I noticed this headline earlier and it just made me wonder how is a state sanctioned militia inherently different than a military? In this context it seems like the groups aren't directly sponsored by the government but like in the context of the early US why were the various state militias classified as militias at all? At what point does a militia become a military?

I understand certain factors like how the Sack of Rome in the 390s BC caused much of Rome's founding history to be lost, but how do civilizations gradually forget things that are or were integral to their existence?
For example the overall lacking of information of the reigns of Trajan, Hadrian and Antonines Pious. Or the foundation stories of numerous civilizations, Britain and Rome in particular come to mind.
I know history has not always been as peaceful or as focused on information as we are today, but how has so much information simply been lost to time?

This question occured to me last night when I was watching Frank Capra's Prelude to War from the Why We Fight series of films on Netflix.
In the beginning of the film there are many clips of German invasions of France, the Low Countries, Russia, Norway and others.
I was just wondering, how did American filmmakers or reporters obtain German footage from the battlefield?
The film was released in May '42, but I would imagine with the war raging in Europe from '39 onwards it must of been difficult to obtain German newsreels in America.
Did the Germans proactively send footage overseas to America?
Were there American reporters in Germany who were sending footage back?

With the Germans realizing the obvious threat and sheer numbers posed by the Soviet Union, did they ever use the rockets against either Soviet troops (assuming they were accurate enough) or the Soviet war effort back home?

My brother is a high school history teacher. He has the great fortune of being able to design a course. He chose the topic of the decline of civilizations and empires. However, he wants to make sure that he has good works for his own reference and either a collection of readings or a book that he can assign to upper level U.S. high school students.
Suggestions?
EDIT I am appreciative of the answers thus far and would also be happy with more civilization specific works as well.
Thanks to all!

I am writting my thesis about five series of China paper money. At the moment i am stuck with the lack of information/sources about it. Thesis looks like:
1st Part: China paper money evolution (I got everything for it and i am writing about all generations) 2nd Part: All series images (don't need help about it) 3rd Part: Tendencies that affected the creation of rmb yuan image. At this part i want to write and compare China money with other communist/ ex. communist countries for example Czech and Slovak lands after WW2. What tendencies, priorities could have led that kind of design of the money.
I would gladly use any of your advice, hints and sources.
