Are there ancient documents that talk about witnessing creatures like dragons while traveling or in battle that historians accept as reliable documents of that cultures history and not a mythological story?

Was there any attempt salvaging weapons/armor from both dead friends and enemies or disposing of dead bodies? Seems like there would of been a huge mess to clean up or a ton of resources to be claimed on the field. Anything else?

The bloc was quite advanced in certain sciences, but 1. Did they research and produce any new drugs that were used internally, within the Communist bloc and/or throughout the world?

2. Did they produce generic drugs for their own uses? Drugs whose patents had expired and anyone can produce) Did they export these? (Think how generic aspirin is produced in Asia)

3. Did they "reverse-engineer" any drugs that were patented? Did they produce these for internal use? Did they export these to allied countries?

Was there any exporting by the countries themselves (think patented or cheaper generic drugs from China/India nowadays) or in smaller quantities by individuals (Americans tourists bringing asthma inhalers from Cuba) from the West of drugs from the Bloc to the West?

I'm taking a class focused on Colonial Latin America, just an introductory class. I'm looking for a novel that will give me a good understanding of the time period and that is enjoyable to read. I would like to learn more about the indigenous if possible, but that's not entirely necessary.

Something like the shift in meaning of 'literally', that many people are complaining about, but has a good chance of taking root and becoming the norm in the future. Are there recording instances of similar criticisms being made in English, Latin, French, Spanish, or Italian (or other romance languages)? Can be orthography, pronunciation, or grammar. Some example that would be of particular interest: the loss of final vowel/consonant pronunciation in French, dipthongization of stressed vowels in Spanish, use of do-support in English.

I've been looking for information about Hitler's motivations for specific actions, and what the military/economic/moral endgame/justification of his actions are.

In particular what were his reasons for starting war-actions, were there ever legitimate offers of peace to/from any other nations, and did he think he had enough people to take over the world? Or did he think he could convert people or gain new allies?

I have lots of questions about this, and if/when you respond, I'll probably ask secondary questions looking for more and more info.

I'm sure that a few years ago I read about this being part of the administrative infrastructure, the purpose being to limit the President's culpability should anything onerous become public knowledge. Yet I can't remember the context or correct language in which to describe the system in question. If such a thing does exist, I would love to know more about how this was developed and embedded into the governing model.

I'm looking for letters from British soldiers in the British Mandate of Palestine. The book I'm currently reading has lots of letters cited/quoted, so I know they're out there, but more often than not they're in British universities (I'm in the US).

Would HathiTrust Digital Library be a viable place to look? I vaguely remember hearing that name, but a cursory look for sources didn't really turn up much and I'm wondering if digging deeper is worth the time/effort. Also I have access to a really wide variety of databases through my university, so it's more likely than not that I can reach them. Any help would be much appreciated!

I can't find a data of how many people were at Pearl Harbor at the time it was attacked. Does anyone know?

First off, I understand pitting the Roman Empire of the 1st-4th centuries vs the Franks in the 6th-9th centuries to be rather a disingenuous comparison; however after finishing reading "The Fall of Rome" by Ward-Perkins, who argues that nothing came close to the level of civilization or prowess that the Roman Empire had, for a very long time in Europe, and yet, the Franks were able, especially under Charlemagne, to create an Empire, that stretched all the way to Poland. A feat, which had never been done before by the Romans.

I don't buy the idea that because Franks were "Barbarians" and the Romans were "civilized" meant that the Franks had an easier time conquering and assimilating the various peoples to the East of the Rhine; but you then have to wonder what the Franks did right, which the Romans failed to do.

Was it just because the Romans after Teutoburg Forest had no incentive to invade Germania again? But then why would Charlemagne want to, instead of conquering the far richer and more developed Visigothic Spain for that matter (especially after he subjugated the Lombards in Italy)?

Just a food for thought, if they did, did they incorporate them to their culture?

What was their interpretation(s) of the fossils they discovered?

Also, another question is, what was their interpretation of the stars and the moon like? What did they think the moon and stars was to them?
