Why did Otto Von Bismarck often wear a military uniform despite not having held any significant rank in the military?

I know he had a short one year long stint in the reserves in his youth, but how did he justify wearing the Prussian military uniform complete with a pickelhaube? Would this be a "stolen valor" sort of thing? And was he ever criticized on it? http://40.media.tumblr.com/3dd748104a7aac85a17d6e0b484706b8/tumblr_mxq5y29p2u1rwjpnyo2_1280.jpg http://orientalreview.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Portrait-Of-Otto-Von-Bism-007.jpg http://www.oel-bild.de/Bilder/Reichskanzler-Otto-Fuerst-Bismarck.jpg http://www.wwnorton.com/college/english/nael/images/20thc/Bismark.jpg

How should I structure this essay?

Hey all, I'm in a ninth grade AP class currently. I'm not sure how I should structure the essay. The topic is - Identify and describe the causes and key events that led to the Gold and Salt Trade and the spread of the Black Death. Explain how each of these developments changed the course of history for the peoples that they impacted.

I know most, if not all of the information needed, but can someone help me out in forming an outline? Thanks :)

I've read many times that Australian forces suffered no casualties during their withdrawal from Gallipoli in late 1915. What casualties were inflicted on the other countries withdrawing from the peninsula (British/NZ/Canadian/Indian etc)?

I'm about to begin volunteer tour guiding at a WWI museum, and this bit of information isn't in the training material I was given. I've been googling and reading with no success, and I'd really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction so that I can give an informed answer if asked by a guest.

Prominent Bolsheviks must have read Lenin's testament, so why wasn't Stalin removed from key roles?

Stalin's Rivals must have been aware of Lenin's call to remove Stalin from the party. So despite Lenin's will not being published, why was he not kicked from the party, or removed from important roles?

I've just been revising my history AS Level and this really began to niggle me, so if anyone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it!

In WW2, They haven't exploited the limited trench crossing and wall climbing capability of tanks. Why is that so?

Tanks in WW1 are a different beast from the ones that were made in ww2. WW2 tanks are made for roads and uneven/difficult terrain but not for trenches. From the pictures/videos/etc I have seen, they mostly used obstacles to slow the tanks and concrete fortifications to stop them or route them to some areas. Digging large trenches was possible during the "phoney war" but they chose obstacles/fortifications instead. Why is that so?

What is it about Latin America that led to it having "travelling revolutionaries?"

I'm thinking specifically of Bolivar, for context. It seems to me that having someone like Bolivar travelling around, aiding revolutions is something fairly unique to Latin America. While other countries in Africa, for instance, would have leaders speaking about other revolutionary struggles, that's different from actually travelling to do something. Why did this happen in Latin America? What was different about colonialism in Latin America?
