In about ten minutes, we will be cutting any further submissions to /r/AskHistorians that don't conform to our non-April Fools requirements, as we want to start transitioning things back to normal. However, you may continue the festivities in existing threads posted before the deadline!

Additionally, for those who have asked, we will be compiling a list of threads and make it available soon. We have been quite in awe of the turn out and enthusiasm for this, so thanks to everyone who has helped make it work, both by asking and answering questions!

After many in-depth studies and intense research on the subject, I still have not been able to glean any information on the casualty rate of the battle. It's been bugging me for some time now. I've looked into every history I can get, and still haven't found much accurate information.

I would also like to contest that a flanking move by the Death Eaters in the moments before a standstill was called could have crushed the Order and their allies, leading to a total victory for the Dark side. What does everyone think?

This source, though popularly accepted as historical canon, makes some pretty outstanding claims about Maul. It claims that he escaped Naboo somehow and went into hiding on a garbage planet. There he constructed himself robotic legs and slowly descended into madness before being rescued by his brother ten years later. The two then supposedly amassed a mercenary army and staged a coup d'etat on Mandalore (but their regime fell shortly afterwards). Are there any independent sources that verify this narrative?

There's a popular ballad circling throughout the Four Corners lately -- written by a woman whose name eludes me, but I think it begins with D? -- saying the Chandrian are misunderstood villains, and actually the heroes of our prehistory.

Is there any merit to that tale? I've always understood the Chandrian to be the bad guys: there's the famous rhyme --

I assume there was some sort of power vacuum while Vetinari went on his Grand Sneer... Who was responsible for the city administration? With Keel gone and the guilds nonexistent, who was in charge? The archchancellor?

I read once about a park in the U.S., built by rich people, and the roads to access the park had underpasses purposely built too low for busses (i.e. public transportation) to pass under. Therefore, only people who could afford personal vehicles could get to the park. I can't find this story on google. Did this really happen?
