How was the public affected by rail transport in the mid-late 1800?

Everyone says that before westerners came they had no concept of ownership so did they trade with each other? What if one tribe had a really bad year with food or something did they stockpile resources or anything so they could get food from other tribes?

'Fashion', as in the wearing of certain items of clothing or jewelry designed specifically to make people appear more attractive.

Obviously pedophilia isn't a new occurrence, but how was it dealt with? Was this considered taboo as it is today? Was it tolerated with certain people depending on their rank? Since a woman was expected to be a virgin until marriage, was it more likely molestation than rape? Or were there brothels that catered to this? When did the first laws specifically against pedophilia come into existence?

I don't know why they named ships after Napoleonic War French Marshals. Was it common to name ships after enemies fought in the past, or was it something to do with being allies of France in WW1?

I always been fascinating by rulers ( monarchs, presidents and whatever ) in history and my readings often completely surprised me. I have been very much surprised when reading about Kaiser Franz Josef of Austria-Hungary whom I only saw as a harsh man ( which he also was ) until I read that behind his uniform there also was a man that could be very kind ( with his wife for example ) and sometimes tore between what he considered his duty as a monarch and his wishes.

I too often read about the terrible Wilhelm II who made a perfect responsible for WW1. But who was he ? Personal ? With his family ? With his close relations such as friends ? I'm sure I read somewhere that he had a passion for riding horses and had close relations with various homosexual circles. Was he kind to his family or a harsh man or simply absent ? Did he care for his people ( social politics ) and what did he thought at the end of the war ? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the last months of the war were terrible for him but his hands were tied because of the influence of militarist politicians around him ( but I don't know the veracity in this )

I also would be interested in books ( in English or French ) that focus on him as a person and not only a leader in WWI.

I often read that when Charles VII of France got crowned in Reims it secured his claim on the french kingdom. This always got me to wounder why Henry VI simply didn't get crowned king first?

Specifically, that of the opium poppy and cannabis. How far back does it date? And what are the routes of administration? Common sense would tell me that they would be consumed as part of food or in a tea(I'm aware poppy tea is a traditional remedy, and bhang lassi is popular to this day in india), rather then smoked.

What's the geographical extent of these drugs? They both are quite hardy plants, so I'm under the impression that they spread readily, but I'm not an expert in these matters. Just to be clear, I'm asking about pre-industrial drug consumption, though stuff regarding the era of patent medicines and such is interesting as well.

In addition, has there been any historical revisionism from the past century of anti-drug crusades?

Usually there's a history of revolutions that, one having defeated their common foe, the factions fractured and turned on one another, as in (at least to my comprehension) the French after their revolution. Why didn't this seem to not happen to the US following the American Revolution?
