I'm interested in how we construct and justify worldviews from a philosophical perspective.
To that end I'd like to know about how people in the Medieval period viewed the world to contrast it with more contemporary worldviews.
Due to the lack of sources about what the common people thought I'd like to focus on someone about whom more sources are available. (Like frederick II)
How should I best approach this?
I've completed a course on Medieval philosophy so I'm already a bit familiar with what major intellectuals thought at the time but I'm not trained in historical research.

Were they treated with extra respect, or was it viewed as just another job?

I am aware Austria-Hungary was trying to solve the "Serbia Problem" but beyond that I am unsure what the German-Austrian Plan was.

In the book "Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident, and the Illusion of Safety", it was mentioned that in April 1947 USA had only one operable Atomic bomb and were seriously lacking in delivery methods, service crews and assembly time.
Was Truman consciously bluffing when he announced that America could drop tens of atomic bombs on enemy cities in rapid succession or was he made to believe that they had the means to carry out the attack? Would it have made a difference if it were the other way around?

I know the civil war and the occupation of the Black and Tans are considered to be a dark time in Irish history, but as far as crimes committed (by either side) do we have any written evidence or it is all oral accounts?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am Irish, but only remember learning that it was a terrible time in school, but as far as I remember there was never any explanation and to be honest I haven't read up on the subject.

I don't know if sinful is the word I am looking for but it is as near as any. I mean when was it decided that females (in particular) had to cover certain body parts? Was it always dictated by religion? When did breasts become a taboo? Or was there any where that we know of where women, outside of certain tribes, also went bare chested?

I understand that at least at some point it was used as a statement of mutual trust, back when honor meant something.

I'm talking about the psuedo-towns meticulously built by the United States military to test nuclear bombs on. I have a few questions.
Was there a name for this program and when/why did it start?
How many of these installations were built and are there any that survived or ended up not being tested on?
What were the findings/conclusions from these tests?
For those who watched the film Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skulls, or played the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops: How accurate were those nuke towns? Were there really creepy mannequins everywhere?
Are they any good books on the matter?

He say's that most of them lived in slums, that they threw waste into the streets, lived in apartments that often burned down, and were closely packed together. Is this true?

Hello! I'm a CG artist working on a scene depicting a middle-ages English peasant cottage. I'm looking for references on the materials and design of lower-class homes, and I'm not having too much luck. Most of what comes up on google is superficial, and most of the in-depth things I can find are about the much more involved architecture of higher-class buildings. Anything you lovely people could point me towards would be greatly appreciated!
