I have been trying to locate a translation of either book for some time to no success. The only instance I have found is one on Amazon that clearly is just the result of putting the books through Google Translate.

I have a strong interest in the Tang Dynasty and as such would benefit greatly from access to either of these books.

I know that Carthage and the other Western colonies saw waves of settlement from Phoenicia after successive empires put tighter and tighter control over Phoenicia (Assyria, followed by Babylon, then Achaemenid control). Over time greater numbers of Phoenicians brought their wealth and power to the West, primarily to Carthage. But at what point pre-Punic Wars did the city start to become imperial in character? How and when did they start to exert more and more control over their sister colonies and trading centres around the Mediterranean?

Did they appoint governors directly, or allow internal autonomy while controlling external policy over their kin in the other Phoenician/Punic cities in the Western Mediterranean?

We’re in 2019. When was it decided that this year it would be 2019? Who decided it?

Basically, I’m looking for when we started counting. Did Columbus know it was 1492 when he sailed the ocean blue? Did the Romans know it was 45 BC and they were curious as to what the fuck would happen when they hit year 0?

Like did they create some kind of pads? Or just bleed all day?

I recently listened to the 5 part serries on Mormonism by 'The last podcast on the left' and they talked about how in Joseph Smith's early days he participated in treasure hunting and how the movement often did "magic"to find treasure. I find this so fascinating in a quirky kind of way, but I can't find any history on it that isn't funded by the Mormon church.

I realize hindsight is 20/20, but it puzzles me that such a great military mind didn’t question the fact that the Russians were making the land barren and retreating again and again. Is there any insight into Napoleon’s mindset that makes this strategic error more explainable?

Why was the U.S. never tried for the intentional bombing of civilians of these 2 cities? I hear the bombing helped to end the war quickly but couldn't that excuse be used in every war that had civilian casualties?

The first European record of Australia is 1606, i cant find a Asian record of Austrailia, but it seems like the Makassar people would fish off the north coast of Austraila in the early 1700s but I can't find anything referencing earlier. The Majapahit empire extended to timor at its peak. Which isnt too far off the coast of austrailia and there are plenty of small islands in between that would allow island hopping. Its seems like it would have be so easy for Australia to begin trading with the kingdoms in south east asia so why did it seemingly just not happen?

And i often get mocked for learning about history things and being proud of it some them are (what the point of learning history you're just wasting you're time instead of doing fun things),but as the Quote above says , i don't really care about them mocking me cause the only loser will be me cause i might get sad and leave history and be one of them.

I have my view of the world and i want to share it with all of the people and for that i need to learn history,so where i can start? P.s(high school student (last year) 17y/o some information about if that might help

How did the change in the Western economy, moving from Mercantilism to “free-market trade,” affect the development of political conflicts by participants?

I am really confused about this question and cannot find much information about it from my course or from the internet. Can anyone please help me?
