Also, how was yellow fever introduced into the area; or was it always endemic to the region?
How did the epidemic impact the population, infrastructure, culture and civic life of Philadelphia in the months and years after it had subsided?
Finally, the epidemic occurred at the very dawn of the development of science-based model of medicine; did the epidemic result in any significant medical discoveries amongst the doctors and scientists of the day?

Funny enough I was playing Wolfenstein when I thought of this question. Did Nazi Germany had any major plan for the United States if they had won WW2? Was Hitler planning a victory parade through New York?

Okinawa was an independent country before Japan colonized it, and the US even held it for a few years after the war. Why was it then given back to be part of Japan instead of being an independent country?
Also, what were the feelings of Okinawans about being part of Japan again?

It sounds like an intense period of history to be honest. I'd love if someone can suggest some sources as well.

I’ve been reading a lot about the early Slavs and one note that has interested me has been the significance of the Thracian and Dacian peoples. I know about the Thracians almost exclusively from references in the Iliad, but I didn’t realize that they may have been an entirely distinct group from the Greeks. Additionally, I had never even heard of the Dacians. To what extent culturally, linguistically, and ethnically were the Thracians and Dacians unique groups in Europe similar to the Slavic, Germanic, or Celtic peoples?

So I'm reading Nicomachean Ethics and there is a wonderful passage where Aristotle essentially says that stones fall because it's their essence, using this as a presupposition to prove that habit cannot overrule nature. Was this truly the depth of the ancients' understanding of gravity, or were there any slightly more advanced theories developed prior to Newtonian physics?

I know that the EC and EU are not Nazi projects. However, a friend has decided that they are having read an article with no citations by Wayne Madsen, where he makes allegations about Schuman and Adenauer being collaborators and Nazis that put into place plans made by the Nazis into unifying Europe. Please could you show me how to destroy this notion? I know Schuman was imprisoned by the Nazis, but he did work for Pétain.

France in particular has stringent laws defending their Jewish community from anti-semitism, but is a country that seems to have a bad record (according to Amnesty International at least) regarding how they treat Roma, up until today. While not as many Roma were murdered during the Holocaust, is there a particular reason both groups have had such diverging paths after the Nazi regime was dismantled?

From what I understand, the Roman Empire was the last culture which arose from the general cultural ferment of Antiquity.
Romans still adhered to Ancient Greek and Mediterranian cultural and religious practices, as a kind of inheritors of Egyptian and Greek knowledge.
However as time passed, their cultural knowledge was increasingly incorporated into Barbaric Germanic and Celtic practices and beliefs.
By the 5th century CE, there was little talk about the mythical Hercules, or their old Emperors, and instead local folk heroes, and Christian characters started to gain more prominience.
By the so-called "European Dark Ages" culture and development brought on by Ancient Greece and Rome was largely forgotten, outside of some useful technological findings, and people forged new identities based on old Pagan beliefs, and the new ideas brought on by Christianity. Their epic past forever lost.

It's commonly accepted that Grant had the most corrupt administration in American history, but how much of this reputation is earned? How corrupt were they compared to their contemporaries and near contemporaries?

As the title states; how much did the regular soldiers (i.e. non medics) carry? Did they carry things like morphine, or was that medics only?
I assume they carried a few bandages and such to use until the medic arrived.

I realize this is a huge topic. But given the stability and prosperity, especially in and around Beirut, during the 1950s and 1960s, how did religious tensions lead to civil conflict?

While it would be disingenuous to directly equate George of Podebrady with the modern day EU, I've heard some talk floated that he had ideas pertaining to a Pan-European institution. Were there any other notable examples of monarchs, religious leaders, or scholars advocating for or theorizing about Pan-European institutions and or identity?

I have a difficult question. Today when we think of "goods", it is fairly easy for us to imagine intangible goods such as mp3 files or Steam games. But before 1950, there was no Internet, so did experts at that time already conceive that intangible goods exist? Or did they think that goods can only be tangible, while those that are not tangible are services?
Thank you in advance!

It seems like the Tec-9 comes up by name a lot in 90’s hip hop. Obviously glocks and other pistols identified by calibre are present, but those are often present in other media, where the Tec does not seem to be as common. Is there any material reasoning for this? Were Tec-9 pistols particularly common in inner-city/gang related crime? If they were, why?
Of course, my premise could be totally off regarding their ubiquity in 90s gangsta rap due to some bias in my perception.
