Does anyone know if any historians were consulted in the making of this film? If so who were they?

During the sengoku period the Japanese did use firearms yet when viewing their castles it is obvious that they did not use cannons. How come, as cannons were clearly present in the region during this period?

I'm guessing there were lots of hard copy reports like Production Weekly but having trouble finding out what they were via Google. Also interested in whether there was some sort of centralized directory. I'm particularly interested in what was going on in the 1970s but any info is good!

Listening to standards, jazz, and orchestral music from the 60s and earlier, they almost always actually finish the track, whereas rock and pop often (even usually) fade out. Did this have to do with changes in how radio stations played album tracks?

I know he bet big on Market Garden and it failed to achieve most of its goals. Was he still a high level commander or did he quietly retire? Who took over his position? Patton?

My (Georgia) history teacher said some odd things yesterday. He stated that Abraham Lincoln was the "Devil Incarnate" and justified this by saying that Sherman's March to the Sea destroyed most if not all buildings and establishments. He also said that a very very large portion of the population was killed during the campaign. He summarized it by saying "We started from ground zero after Sherman's march to the sea."
Is there any truth in this? Did the campaign really harm that many people?

Did the events from both the Enlightenment and the Great Awakening take a role in starting the American Revolution? Was it because people were starting to question their science and religion?

How do Japanese and German history books and schools describe WWII? Have they changed their retelling of history over time? My city has an exhibit featuring WWII and there were a bunch of Japanese tourists there, which got me thinking...

Comprehensive material would be appreciated though I would be ecstatic to read anything and everything.

Today:
Saturday Reading and Research will focus on exactly that: the history you have been reading this week and the research you've been working on. It's also the prime thread for requesting books on a particular subject. As with all our weekly features, this thread will be lightly moderated.
So, encountered a recent biography of Stalin that revealed all about his addiction to ragtime piano? Delved into a horrendous piece of presentist and sexist psycho-evolutionary mumbo-jumbo and want to tell us about how bad it was? Need help finding the right book to give the historian in your family? Then this is the thread for you!

To put it another way, how did the monarch ensure that the country was in good hands while he was otherwise occupied far away? How did he find someone he could trust? I can't imagine he left them a post-it note saying "Please remember to raise taxes in Epirus xxx".

As the headline says, is there any evidence that can claim the authorship of Anabasis to not be Xenophon?

Marcus Edwards I think his name was, no one made any reference to his skin colour during the scene. Is this accurate to history of just the movie makers ignoring history to diversify their film?
I'm no historical buff, but I thought in 1940s Britain black people were not accepted by the British public? And was Churchill not fairly racist himself? I genuinely don't know, if someone could fill me in on race relations in Britain in 1940 basically that would be great. Thanks.

I mean, communist countries like the Soviet Union, China, and Cuba, were all in support of the ANC and against apartheid, right? Why couldn’t they militarily intervene (or non-military intervene)? I know the US and other western countries kind of turned a blind eye towards apartheid. Apartheid lasted almost half a century, how??
