I have heard a lot of people argue Chamberlain legitimately thought he could keep peace in Europe in the long term through "appeasement", but recently I have also read some articles suggesting Chamberlain was moreso trying to prepare the fragile (Great Depression) British economy for what he saw as a largely inevitable war. Which of these ideas is correct, or, if neither, what is the truth of the matter as we understand it today?

So many times I have heard people speaking about Kennedy founding his own dollars and an attempt to shut down private federal bank. What happened and why?

Critical views i hear from deniers are that there are no Armenian mass graves .. there are unsourced pictures most of them literally holocaust pictures and other falsified sources. Even a painting from a Russian painter from the 19th century (about a completely unrelated massacre). Is there anything to these claims?

Given these two facts, why was Greece able to resist Achaemenid Empire?

I was recently read Diplomacy by Henry Kissinger. One of its arguments was that Germany, with a short history of being unified, did not have a grasp of how to reconcile its power with its newfound reach.

This got me thinking about the US. The US has been largely invulnerable for most of its history (with a brief exception in the War of 1812 and 9/11). Does American foreign policy suffer (like Germany) from lack of experience of having to deal with similarly sized great powers?
