I've run into conflicting statements on this. Like, I know he lost in 1932, and then got appointed anyway, and there was another election he won in a landslide. Did the second election matter, or was it a sham? If Hitler had not used intimidation, might he have won the popular vote regardless?

Were Hitler's three main platforms immigration, communism and economy? Were those the biggest issues facing Germany at the time?

What was Hitler's position on Jews in campaign speeches he made prior to being elected/assuming power?

As some of you may know, the first complete trailer for the new Battlefield game came out today (May 6, 2016). It is set during WW1. I understand that the game developers would have to take a lot of liberties with historical accuracy, but how accurate is the beginning scene, when the character is killing people with a trench mace and there are airplanes dogfighting overhead, and they are crashing everywhere. Could you even expect to see a scene like this if you were part of a major battle, assaulting the trenches?

I teach AP European history, and make a big deal out of the shift from deductive medieval reasoning to the inductive reasoning devised during the Scientific Revolution. Now, typically this shift is explained as leading to the scientific conception of political theory starting with Hobbes and Locke. Regarding Hobbes, his assertion was that powerful centralized monarchy was ideal as decided by the people due to their volatile nature. Is there evidence that this thought process was popular in Louis XIV's absolutist France, thereby making that society one who's loyalty was based of Hobbes's inductive theories?

Or, was the French population sold on Louis XIV's regime based on the deductive assertion of Divine Right Monarchy?

Hi, I'm doing a research paper on the impact of US Extradition and legalities around it in Colombia. I'm focusing on events that can prove that the group Escobar and other Drug kingpins were part of incited further violence. In particular, I'm looking for letters by Escobar, or the group known as "Los Extraditables," that say that he/they are willing to commit violence if extradition is approved. I've found about a dozen sources that say they were responsible/prove it, but I'd like a Primary source. Does anyone know of a database or link where I can access such letters?

There was a specific letter that I've seen mentioned in the Times and a few other papers that was addressed to President Gaviria, regarding Escobar's involvement in the Avianca bombing. I think it was mentioned in a Netflix show as well, not sure. If you could link this specifically it'd be great!
