How would a warrior be equipped going into war? Would his equipment be different depending on his social status? Where special weapons used for Flower Wars?

I found myself suddenly marvelling at how Britain managed to crank through three kings in 1936, the logistics of which had completely passed me by leading to a slurry of related questions that are probably connected:

When it came to minting new coins and printing new bank notes, how long did that take to kick in? Did Eddie get any currency in circulation?

Was any central body responsible for sending portraits of the sitting monarch out to schools, police stations etc across the Empire/Commonwealth, and how long did this take to roll out?

Was the changeover slower for much beloved and long-reigning sovereigns like Victoria, and do any others match up to her?

It just feels like something I would have heard of by now and was very surprised when it was mentioned in a lecture series I've been listening to. However the woman giving the lecture mentioned that Herodotus didn't believe it and doesn't say whether modern historians believe it or not.

In school I've learned about every other continent or at least part of its origin or culture. I have never taken a regular high school class where they teach anything about the history or Africa beyond the continent's involvement with slavery. the only classes I've know to teach about African countries are very advanced classes. So why is this? Is this just the school I went to?

So, I imagine the largest and most travelled roads were paved stone. How common were these? Who made them / paid for their upkeep?

Furthermore, were many more places connected by, say, gravel or simple dirt paths, or did you just have to strike out across the countryside to reach most places?

I'm writing to ask for a rigorous treatment on a peculiar theory I heard from a reasonably trusty source.

The claim is that the Great Wall of China was actually used as a gimmick for Chinese expansion in the West(i.e., Gansu, Shaanxi, etc.). According to this theory, the great wall was actually a tool of offensive colonization. Every new construction of the wall would provoke attacks from neighboring tribes, which was used as justification for a war to annex/subdue China's neighbors. Then they would have to expand the wall to include the new territory, leading to new wars, etc.

Any truth at all to this?

Other than the natives, why would people from the mainland become a colonist?

Always been interested in the Titanic and I can't seem to find any info on the racial breakdown of the passengers.

Were there any actual, paying passengers that were of African descent?

I know of at least one man, a valet for a first class passenger. They both went down with the ship.

And I know of at least one other non-white passenger, a Japanese fellow who survived.

Were there any other black people onboard, regardless of their survival of the sinking?

What were New Sweden's boundaries in regards to present day Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey? How many square miles was it? And what current towns/cities in those present states are within the boundaries of the former colony?
