Looking for Primary Sources Related to Operation Overcast/Project Paperclip

Hello, I'm doing a history research project and I'm having some trouble finding primary sources relating to Operation Overcast/Paperclip.

I believe what I'm looking for could be something from the wartime conferences, specifically how they agreed to deny immigration of Nazis, or the order that Truman gave, approving Operation Overcast.

I've been trying to look through some online primary source databases, using archives.gov quite a bit, but have been unable to find any meaningful primary sources.

If any of you could suggest a better way for me to try and look for these sources, or if you know of any actual primary resources relating to this and could direct me to them, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Was there a noticeable change in the German language following WWII?

I was recently speaking with a professor at my university and she mentioned that modern German has significant differences from German spoken prior to World War II. She claimed that due to a decade's worth of militarization, many words were lost as children were taught solely Nazi propaganda that focused on German nationalism and commands. She also claimed that this was facilitated by the fact that a great deal of German lives were lost during the war--meaning those with broader vocabularies didn't return to expand their children's vocab.

I'm struggling to believe this and have been unable to find any resources supporting her claim. Her knowledge comes from the fact she was a child that lived in Germany during WWII. When we spoke, she implied that this was NOT the push for a standard German language (ie the dying of northern Low German dialects).

I appreciate any feedback, thanks!

How important were Special Forces in WW2?

I've heard many stories. For example the O.S.S. would disrupt Nazi transportation, under water demolition teams that paved the way for ships on DDay. And the most insane story was a Special Forces team sent out to the bitter icy cold in the middle of some mountains to destroy Hitler's "heavy water" facilities in order to derail his plans for an ATOMIC BOMB. It is frightening to think it could have been used on an allied country.

At the Canadian Allied Forces museum in Groningen there are two RAF staff cars. One in regular blue, one in desert tan. Why were they different hand drive?

Hi there,

Back story, I was at the museum for Canadian Allied Forces in Groningen, the Netherlands this week. They had a whole lot of vehicles on display (and that's about it), however, I noticed something peculiar about the RAF staff cars (I want to say Pergeot 402's, but I'm probably wrong).

One was for use in Britain, was navy blue, and was right hand drive. The other was painted in desert tan and was left hand drive. It's been bugging me all week, and I can't believe I didn't take a picture.

Was this a result of perhaps one being produced in North America and was built as left hand drive? Or did they just buy any ol' car after the war and paint it in desert tan and think nobody would notice?

Thanks, folks.
