I'm specifically curious about their knowledge of ancient empires in the ancient "Near East" and of the Bronze Age Collapse.

What were some of the main components of chivalry? Is the term misused in the modern world?

Were there any New Testament documents found in the Dead Sea Scrolls? I was told that the book of Matthew was found in cave 1 and it was written in the Hebrew language. A friend saw it years ago (1985-ish) in an article of BAR magazine. He specifically he remembers that the magazine was interviewing a Jesuit priest and it was revealed there. I have searched Google and people say that the new testament was not found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I welcome any information regarding the New Testament and the Dead Sea Scrolls pertaining to the question.

I've read that the band played hymns, but also that they stuck to upbeat music to keep from causing a panic. Who is right? (Or did they play some combination of dance and religious music?)
Also, was the entire band lost with the ship, or did any of the musicians survive?

I recently watch This video, which seems to suggest that archery is a "lost" art, that is much worse off today than it would have been in ancient times. Is this true of other weapons? Do any recordings or pieces of archaeological evidence suggest that medieval warriors could use other weapons better than modern experts?

My history teacher was showing all these abandoned monasteries and I didn't get a chance to ask him about them. I am really curious about all of them. I thought maybe the churches would have just been recycled over. Google search didn't seem to come up with anything for me.

I'm interested in learning more about what happened after someone successfully escaped from East Germany to the West.
Was everyone welcome in West Germany, are there cases of (non-criminal) people who were handed back to East Germany?
Did these people just walk to the police or other authorities to announce their arrival or what was the typical procedure? Were they interrogated and/or put under surveillance?
And how were they integrated into West German society? Did escapees get any kind of (financial) support to build a new life in the West?

They were in existence from at least the 1900s so why the hell were they terrible at fighting? The only victory they had in WWII was against a tiny British garrison in Somaliland, and a couple of frogmen who laid mines against the hulls of a few British ships in Alexandria. From 1935 to 1939 couldn't the Germans have had some sort of military exchange program to toughen them up?

I know that Annobón was colonized by the Portuguese, for something like 300 year.
But is the flag of the province Annobón really this one ?
It's kind strange that they still use a flag with portuguese simbols and even more strange is the closer "ex-Portuguese colony" was São Tomé and Príncipe but the coat of arms is from Cape Verde
Can you confirm this flag ?

I'm supposed to write a five page essay on how African Americans contributed to Reconstruction in Florida. My only resources I'm allowed to use are ".edu" websites. I have about 3 pages and I can't find any more info, all of the information is basically reworded now. I was just wondering if anybody could help point me in a different direction for the essay, maybe bring up a couple aspects I hadn't considered? (I've currently talked about religion, politics, and social organization). Or if anyone had any cool websites I could look at to help get more info. Thanks in advance!

Is it the result of some poetic refusal of inheritance along the line somewhere, like Aragorn in LotR? Or is it just that the when Romans came to town they screwed up the local governmental structure? Or something else?
I'm not entirely sure that this is the proper place to ask this, but i figured it's worth a shot.

For context, I'm taking a graduate seminar on Milton and we just started Paradise Lost. It's often said that Milton and Dante were some of the first poetical treatments of hell (and that Dante was heavily reliant upon Virgil and other classical depictions of Hades)... which is naturally a problematic statement.
It's my understanding that the Hebrew Scriptures contain few/no references to the Satan that appears in the New Testament (referring instead to a tempter/adversary). What occurred between the writings of the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament that led to more popular notions of Satan as the devil emerging? In other threads that I searched, the Babylonian Captivity and Zoroastrianism often pop up. What are some good sources that discuss the origin of Satan's fall story -- where/when it first appeared, and how that 'myth' spread in earlier times? Did it become an element of certain Judaism sects that he appears as a character in the NT and is referenced by Jesus and Paul?
It's obvious from other prose works (Doctrine and Discipline of Divorce, for example), that Milton read medieval rabbinical texts along with early Christian texts. Old English texts speak of the fall as well, so it's apparent that the tradition apparently grew from the end of the Hebrew Scriptures and during/throughout the writing of the New Testament and beyond.
Thanks!
