I am learning about Mathematical proofs, and am shocked at how early some of these proofs are seen. For example, the expansion of (a+b)^2 by Euclid(ca. 300 B.C.) or the Binomial Theorem in Baghdad(1007) and China(1100). Was there a large amount of Mathematicians coming up with mistake-ridden proofs and Mathematical fallacies?

Same deal with the list being divided by region and time period, but a list of specific journal articles about specific topics, regions, and/or time periods that do not have a book all to themselves or books to reference said information.

I'm talking about everything from the Indian Wars to the 2011 Libyan Intervention. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not sure if these particular engagements count as wars, but I'd imagine that some form of declaration of war has been written down somewhere. Thanks for the help in advance! I'm trying to justify what constitutes a "war."

And if so, where can I find out more about it?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask such a question, but didn't know a better place to go.

Alright so here's the thing. My history task for school is to compare the mayans plazas to another civilasations plazas and see similarities and differenses. So I read that the greeks held trials or whatever you want t call it in the agoras, greece plaza, so I was wondering if the mayans did something like that. I read that they law and different punishments, but I'm not sure about how it was decided. So now I'm wondering if i'm on to something that could be one similarity to add and well, you see the question! PS: First question here so I hope I have written the question right, don't hate me if I haven't!

Urban myths aside, how much historical evidence is there of the different groups of Native Americans that allowed (or even celebrated) homosexual relationships. Male or female. I hear of the term 'Two Spirit' bandied about, but is anyone out there an actual historian/authority on the matter?
Thanks in advance

I was watching The Patriot the other day and got to thinking about the scene where they burn the people inside of the church. Was wondering if any recorded events like this took place and if so how many?

I'm writing a novel that is set in London, from 1840's - 1890's, and historical accuracy is very important to me. Although I am still in the development phase, I'd like to find someone that I can bounce ideas off of and see whether they would fit the times.

Hello, I was curious about the events that lead up to WWII; though I know that's quite a lot of events. The Treaty of Versailles, the forming League of Nations, and so much more are a few. Yet I see many times that people get caught up on things like "Well, America should've fought harder for the League, it's their fault WWII started" or on the flip-side "Britain and France should've stopped Hitler before he invaded Poland" and such. I doubt the blame can be thrown onto any party entirely, and I was hoping you guys could help me understand more about the events leading up to the war and the faults of the countries.
Please and thanks very much!
