I'd like to know what color the shirt, pants, and necktie (the dark thicker one) would have been. I think it was a dark navy blue shirt with white stripes and similar or the same color pants and going by an eBay listing for a uniform it seems like the tie would have been black. Can anyone confirm this for me please? Would the shoes have been restricted to black or would brown shoes have been allowed? Lastly, were they issued knitted winter hats and if so would they have been navy blue too? Thank you.

I saw this in another thread but I hadn't heard this before. I did hear about Clodius Pulcher doing this but that this was unusual (iirc I'm probably way off)

I'm thinking of how the seals were produced, if there surfaces were designed to imprint into wet clay. Were they raised? Or was it something to do with the clay?
Nothing on the wiki article fills me in on any of the physical details.
Probably a simple question that may or may not demand a long answer. Thanks!

My mother and I got into a small argument tonight which will probably never come up again, but I still want to know what the right answer is.
She claims the Ancestral Puebloans were the furthest northern reach of the Aztecs. She claims to have been to multiple lectures that have said so.
I say the Ancestral Puebloans predate the Aztec culture, and the Aztecs never really got much further north than Mexico. I think she may be confused by Aztec Ruins National Monument, which is decidedly not Aztec.
Which of us (or is it both of us) is misinformed?

Hello there, I came here to ask if there is any site or documents or pictures about the He 177 or 277. I mostly see War Thunder threads (He 177 rumour) and I see other threads that are very informative. So is there anything I can use ? Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, Knyq_626

We all know all about "America saving the World". But did they really play the biggest role in the war like I've seen it made out? After a little reading it's easy to come to the conclusion that the USSR contributed much more to Germany's defeat. Is this correct?

In most portrayals of the Western Front, no man's land is often depicted as cluttered with husk of tanks and giant shell holes. How accurate is this depiction?

Wasn't there already an extremely disruptive U-boat presence in the Atlantic and didn't the Japanese control much of the Northern Pacific?

In "Choque: The Untold Story of Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil Vol. 2 1950-1960" by Roberto Pedreira the author makes numerous references to the large Japanese immigrant colony that came to Brazil pre-WW2 refusing to believe that Japan lost the war. A quote is below.
This book is mostly translations of Brazilian newspaper articles and is heavily cited, however this claim about the Japanese is not.
Was there a significant denial of defeat among the Japanese diaspora?
"In the jungles and plantations of Brazil, most Japanese people believed they had won World War II, defeating not only the Untied States ... but Brazil as well."
Edit: fixed obvious won/lost switch

For a history class that I'm in, our professor had us read "Germania". A lot of the class, including myself, thought that Tacitus was looking down on the Germans (or "Germani). However, our teacher then told us after we had read it that he thought "Germania" was fiction, though he said there were others who disagreed with him. He also said Tacitus was writing about the Germans because that's how he wanted Rome to be, because he thought Rome had gotten "to weak".
What evidence is there, to suggest that Tacitus's "Germania" is fact or fiction?

Many Americans think of the TV show Roots as the baseline for slavery in America, and yet I’ve read many accounts that many slaves were close to their owners. Just wanted a clearer picture to what the General relationship was like.

The Black September Organization is the terrorist group that carried out the attack on the Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics. I have read that part of their demands included the release of Baader and Meinhof of the Red Army Faction. Why?
Were Black September and the RAF actually associated with each other? If not, what would have prompted the Palestinians to include Baader and Meinhof in the list of prisoners to be released?

I saw a video that claimed that during WWII, the Allies set up a fake charity organization to ship Monopoly games to POWs with hidden codes and tools inside them. Is there any more information on this?
