(Comparison Drawn here http://imgur.com/AtEl1HS ) And During the renaissance is when the gun or "hand cannon" began to be produced in Europe... Did the Romans have some sort of ancient (or I guess not so ancient if they were on par with the Renaissance) firearm?

I was watching a comedy film that included a brief bit about a "hick" family. It included some stereotypes, and it struck me how incredibly ubiquitous these stereotypes are. Especially references to incest (having a "small family tree"). Of course this also includes large families, meals of roadkill, and poor hygiene. Here's an example of what I'm talking about.
I know that accusing a group of deviant sexual behavior is an easy and widely-used way to other them (I'm thinking of how common accusations/jokes about bestiality have been throughout history), but I'm wondering if this specific image of hicks or hillbillies has any clear historical lineage.

I know that after the fall of the western empire there was a considerable exodus from the city of Rome. I am curious how this exodus altered the physical infrastructure of the city. Were smaller buildings, such as homes, demolished when that was possible or were large sections of the city simply left empty?

What happened to the dead after the battle was over? I assume the the winning side was able to recover their dead as they took the territory with the victory, but what about the losers?

Is there a record of how many first rank officials there were during the Qing Dynasty? To be specific the Kangxi or Qianlong period.
Were there any special perks that came with being a mandarin?
EDIT: At a given time, what is the usual number. And I mean both primary and secondary first rank. I also found out around early 1800s there were around maybe 14000 officials in total?
Also what were some of the responsibilities of first (or second) rank officials? How long did it take to become one?

For those who don't know what AC is, it's a historical-fiction video game series in which a modern character uses a device to revisit the memories of his ancestors of an ancient Assassin Order.
Each title in the series visited a certain time period. The uniforms (specifically of the enemies you can fight and kill in the series) are something I'd like to find out about, so how accurate were they for the time periods they were in, in each game title? In fact, were there even extremists of such sort during that time period?:
