I know a decent amount about the New Kingdom, but very little about the old and middle kingdoms and how all 3 eras tie together. What is the best, and accessible, book that gives an overview of ancient egypt?

In the decade before the population transfers between Greece and Turkey that began in 1923, those two countries had fought each other in the First Balkan War, the First World War, and from 1919-1923 in the Greco-Turkish war.

Since the Greek state was so often at war with Turkey in this period, were Greek Muslims viewed as unpatriotic or possibly loyal to turkey by the Greek government or Christian neighbors?

Were there any regulations passed to control the movement of Muslims, and were they passed as "war necessity"?

Were there any great efforts to save themselves? I realize they did not understand the germ theory of disease, but all I could find on google about native Americans actually doing anything to avoid disease was that many tribes decided to stay away from white traders and settlers.

So I just got a new mountain bike. It's a Santa Cruz and it's model name is the "Nomad." its a badass bike. Full suspension deal in a bright orange color. I want to name it after maybe one of Genghis khans horses or something. Does anyone know where I could find some names of horses ridden by some nomadic horse tribesmen or something like that?? Preferably horses that were ridden into battles/conquests ! If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!

Such as detailed writings in regards to their culture, writings about their gods, temples or some type of architecture etc? Since they didn't have a form of writing I'm curious if there's really anything left to discover in relation to the Vikings.

My highschool textbook says it did, but doesn't explain why

I'm working on a paper that explores the influence of Japanese interior design on American interior design, focusing on Frank Lloyd Wright. I am having a lot of trouble finding images of traditionally furnished Japanese rooms.

I was going to use the Katsura Palace but all images are of a completely empty building. I need something to show how traditional Japanese rooms were furnished but I either find pieces taken out of context or empty rooms.
There are some contemporaneous images of the Hoo Den Temple from the World's Colombian Exposition (1893), but those are obviously very old an grainy, plus it was constructed on American soil for an American audience. I'd much rather use something in high res that is actually in Japan and preferably dating before Commodore Perry's expedition (1852) but before 1900 works just fine.

I've been searching for weeks. Artstor hasn't been much of a help nor any of my school's databases.

I'm interested in below university level education, particularly the equivalent of American high school. Any SubSaharan African country will do, though if specificity is needed then I'd prefer either Kenya, Nigeria, or South Africa.

I found myself in a bit of a Wikipedia hole after reading about the little owls which became associated with Athena and read about all the things she represented as a goddess. The Greeks gave her a lot of admirable qualities and made her free thinking but thought of her as virginal. It seems like there's a tension there in sexual politics and an attitude towards women as the intellectual equals of men.

As an example was it like the U.S during WW2 where there was rations and shortages of things?

I know there are a bunch of them out there, which one do you think is most worthwhile?

Secondary question would be were building heights subsequently higher as elevators became more popular and was it in any way connected to elevator engineering?
