I understand a team moving away from an area where there is little market for a team (particularly if there is already a team, in New York's case, the Yankess) and to an area where there is a bigger market.

Yet thr fact that the Mets were created after the Dodgers left would seek to indicate there was room for a second New York team anyway.

My question, how did so many Jews make it to Europe? Why was Poland their most popular spot? Why were Eastern European Jews more Orthodox than Western Europeans Jews?

So I don't like to admit this, but I'm a bit ignorant in terms of the Crusades. As a catholic I feel like I should rectify this immediately, so I'd like some recommendations on books, articles, etc. on the crusades OVERALL. Not just the first, second crusade, etc. Even if the sources are rather large, I don't much mind. I'd rather have more recent works but if there's a particular work that is older and you feel it necessary to list, go right ahead.

Would a Persian refer to this great king Gilgamesh, or someone like him? Is the answer somewhere in between, where stories that come after it unwittingly take themes from it?

I am reading Brokenburn, The Journal of Kate Stone. Does anyone know where this plantation stood exactly? I saw a period map and it is near Milliken's Bend. I wonder if there are any markers where this place stood. Thanks.
