Was the Titanic really called unsinkable?

I just seems strange that they would market a ship as specifically not going to sink.

Sure safety is probably a selling point, but it just seems like that unsinkability was tacked on later.

How often did prehistoric man eat meat?

Was it daily, like many of us do today? Or was this a rare treat?

Same question for Medieval man. Was there alot of meat on the menu in the 'Dark Ages'?

How did the Netherlands even Control the Dutch East Indies?

This question has always baffled me. The Netherlands had a population of only 5,000,000 in 1907 and the Dutch East Indies had a population of about 45,000,000! How were they able to oppress them for so long without a rebellion? Even if half their army (let's say 100,000 generously) were in the Indies, how did they control 45,000,000 people? And how the heck did they even transport troops there in early years? There weren't airplanes so it must have taken a TON of ships going back and forth, right? Wouldn't that mean that ruling over the Indies would have been an absolute pain?

I know that's a lot of questions but there are some great historians here.

I recall hearing some examples of soldiers riding bicycles to gain territory quickly (e.g. Japanese towards Singapore) -- are there any instances where the use of bicycles is considered to be the decisive factor in the outcome of the battle?

In the movie Troy (2004), the ships the Greeks use look more or less like the biremes of Classical times. What would Mycenaean galleys of the Late Bronze Age really have looked like?

Have we found any Mycenaean shipwrecks from around the alleged time-frame of the Trojan War? Do we have any idea based on written descriptions/art/etc.? Do we have any examples of warships, or were they all trading vessels?

This is obviously a very, very broad question, but I've been learning a bit about Felix Eboue and become interesting in the subject. I'd appreciate reading recommendations as well, if possible!

How did the people of Israel communicate when the nation was in its founding years?

I admit to being almost entirely ignorant of the history of Israel, but I am aware that many of the people who lived there in the earlier years were European Jews. And because they came from a variety of nations beforehand, and therefore speak different languages, how did these people communicate? Was Hebrew something most already knew in a great degree of fluency before they emigrated?

What exactly made Prussian soldiers so effective?

I hear a lot about that. In what ways were their drills so unique? Was it the Prussian soldier's spirit, something built into their culture over time, or a way of fighting the other armies couldn't quite understand? I saw someone ask a similar question, and while I was pleased with the answer about Frederik and the "Recess" and such, I don't so much want to know about it getting big but how each regiment was uniquely effective- if that is even the case?
