So I'm doing an assessment in Ancient to Modern history and I'm doing a strange topic, myths and legends incorporated into modern culture. For one of the points I'm doing magic, but there is little to no record of when and where it originated, it says there was an old, old kind of magic in ancient Egypt, but that's not completely straight forward. I've heard a lot of Loyalists fled to the UK during/after the war, but how common was it for non-loyalist Americans to go to the UK, or for Britons to travel to the USA in the decades after independence? Did they have travel restrictions, or requirements on what they could do, what business they could conduct, etc?

I've been introduced to traditionalist Catholicism relatively recently. I study Chemistry and have an interest in academic history, and personally find the living religious tradition of the Catholic Church very enriching.

At the same time, a lot of traditionalist Catholics buy into highly conspiracy-theorist notions- namely, that the modernist forces of Freemasonry and Bolshevism consciously attempted to infiltrate the Church and undermine it from within, and this resulted in the Second Vatican Council.

This seems immediately ridiculous to me, but it's something I hear a lot and if there are any real academics out there with knowledge on the subject, it would be great to hear some reassurance, and get some objective historical opinions on what influenced the shift in the Catholic Church in the mid-20th century.

I studied the French Revolution in college, but I want to learn more about the ins and outs of Napoleonic rule throughout Europe. I'm especially interested in how Napoleonic reforms influenced later nationalist movements. Military history interests me, but I would like something that emphasizes political developments as well.

I'm curious as to how the razzia's by the Nazi's in their occupied territories would work. How were they prepared? Were building plans asked up? Would dogs be present? Were normal troops used? and after all of this, what exactly would they be looking for when people were suspected of harbouring jews?

I've been doing research (just out of interest) into the bronze age, I have been able to find a lot of information about Hitties, Egyptians, Greeks, Kassites (east of Greece basically) I couldn't find much about western europe though. What was happening in western europe in terms of kingdoms being formed? Or were empires and kingdoms not being formed like they were to the east? Thanks
