A few follow-up questions for if there is evidence to suggest these places existed, what would have happened to them had they been discovered by the British again? I assume the one in the show is far too large to be real, what size were they really?

I'm curious about what people in the Indian subcontinent ate a few hundred years ago.
I was surprised to learn recently that signature 'Indian' dishes, such as the Punjabi butter chicken, are probably recent innovations since tomatoes and green chillies were imported from South America only after the Spanish conquest.
The alu poshto, a favorite in Bengal, came to be because the British were growing opium in the region. [See source below for more]
In a recent visit to the South of India, I had the opportunity to speak to people from rural pockets. I was told that millets, such as the pearl millet, used to be staples. They added that the prevalence of rice in the region was a recent trend. I understand this is anecdotal; I have no source for this other than what these people told me but I thought it was interesting enough to add. The way I understand it, the South of India had mostly been isolated from the rest of the country until the British united all of it. I'd also like to know whether South Indian diets differed significantly from diets in the rest of the subcontinent.

During the 1700's at the very least my current textbook (for U.S history) refers to those who believe in adult baptism as baptists but my previous (Euro) textbook calls the same people anabaptists. Is there a difference?

From research that I have already done I understand that about 30% of the US military was made up of draftees during WWII. However I am unclear how such a massive draft was organized. Where they calling up everyone who was in their twenties/ early thirties who had not already volunteered? Would draftees in their late twenties be more likely to be selected for OCS or NCO school? What if I was a skilled professional Lawyer, Accountant, Mechanic, Electrician etc. would I be likely to be assigned a position in the military similar to what I had done in civilian life?

Tactics where they march in orderly line instead of charging, making themselves easy targets, not using cover, cannonfodder.
Why were these tactics used? What was the thought process behind it? What was the mindset behind them and what brought the change into modern military tactics we see today?

In "A Distant Mirror", when listing the men going to war, the number of squires is generally twice to ten-times as many as the knights. Were the squires fighting during the conflict or just being support for the knights? If they fought, in what capacity?

I'm doing quite a lot of research for a horror story I'm writing, but I thought I'd come ask the experts. I'm specifically interested in 122 CE, the year Hadrian visited the island. The idea is for it to be a small and not particularly valuble mine, but obviously beggers can't be choosers. Any additional sources I could look up myself would be appreciated, as well.
