Im working on a study guide for my history final, and one of the bullet points in comparing Washington, Adams, and Jefferson's policies. How accurate is it to say that Adams was merely a continuation of Washington's presidency?

To understand the prehistoric world, historians need to rely on evidence gathered by paleontology, and recreate what happened them by the objects left and the ruins that we found.

Then some civilizations in the past invented writing systems, ways to record what was happened and I think this revolutionized the way to look at the past. Although it wasn't immediate. It took some years to people in the future to look back and interpret the text and the books and the paintings to make a model of the past.

But books are objects with text that were written by humans. I know it is evidence from the past and I know that historians don't rely on single books (when they can) and the model of the past is more accepted if we found non overlapping sources to confirm that some supposition of what happened was correct or not.

But changing from nowadays, more specific to this decade and forecasting to the few days to come. We are currently adding terabytes and terabytes of information that could someday be the information that our future generation will use to understand us. In one sense, it is overwhelmingly large, but also overwhelmingly redundant. In some sense, it is stronger evidence because we have videos all over the place and not just small footage from the media, but rather from everyone. We now live in a world where the smallest contributor of society have ways to register its life and its current content.

I predict that in the near future, cellphone apps like periscope will dominate. It just takes better internet and more reliable software, actually. The internet of things is also going to boom our world with information of anywhere.

Historians in the future will have so much to search that the methodology will definitely going to change. I don't think we can know with certainty how a specific historical event that happened in south america affected eastern Europe back into the years 1000 or less... but I think the future might have a close to perfect representation of today (or our near future) and I think this will change the concept of what is make history.

To provide a further example: In 700 AD, did the entire Christian world observe Sunday on the same day?

Naturally there wouldn't have been much demand for entertainment during the twilight years of the war, but during the early years of Nazi what music/movies/theater performances/etc would have been available to me, the average German citizen with a few marks to spare?

Related question: How did German pop culture change after the war began? Many important Nazi figures (including Hitler himself) were fans of western media, but with the start of the war, these things would have no longer been available. Was there a noticeable effect in music, movies, and media produced in Germany once this happened, or did fascism take over long before the war even began?

I'm driving through downtown Pensacola today I saw a sign that claimed that Pensacola was America's first settlement of course that's not what I've been taught in history class so I'd like to know if there was any evidence supporting this claim, and if not what was America's first settlement? Also is the claim founded on being successful or unsuccessful?

I'm curious as to how one of the largest empires in our history that a group of "barbaric" people overcame.

I was watching a tv show set in the 19th century and noticed a medical patient was given an injection without disinfecting the area first. It may just be the fact that it was on screen, but was this common practice back then?

I plan on being a history teacher but know very little about precolonial Africa. My World History I class only talked about Egypt and World History II only got to Africa to talk about the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. I want to be a history teacher and I know some of my students will want to know about precolonial Africa so what are some good books to read to be able to teach them?

I previously looked at the settlement of property rights from the the English Civil wars to the Glourious Revolution and I don't know where to look for the US. I am English and therefore I do not know anything about US law or how state/federal law interacts (other than interstate trade is regulated by the federal government).

A slightly longer version of my question is:

Other than the obvious exemption for slave contracts could a person formerly resident in a Confederate state use the US court system to enforce a contract; court ruling or change in train of property made whilst they/their state was in rebellion?

Also

We're judgements made in criminal courts considered part of the common law, or were all judgment rendered void?
