Many racial groups have migrated or invaded India (I know India was several kingdoms) but I can't remember any huge genocidal events in its history, where Indians slaughtered a specific ethnicity. When was "India" the aggressor in the last four-thousand years? Its role in history appears rather passive (as far as military conquest). Unlike other Asian countries, it didn't develop large-scale slavery (correct me if I'm wrong). What are some dark events or genocides in Indian history, where indians were the aggressors?

Was there a time when no guns were fired or swords used for war? Let say from the start of civilization up to the present times.

I was wondering if there are any historical examples of the complete destruction of a race or ethnicity.

If so what do they say, how did people see lightning, a natural phenomenon or a punishment by God? Did knights in armor get struck remarkably more?

Why Nazis objected to Roman Law (did they saw ancient Romans as not white?), and what did they meant by "German Law"? Did they wanted to introduce Anglo-Saxon Common law? Did they wanted to return ancient Germanic customs like trial by combat and trial by ordeal? Something else?

I had always been told that Von Kluck was to blame for the German defeat on the outskirts of Paris as it was a brash, selfish push by Von Kluck to gain glory for himself to be the one to enter Paris and/or defeat the French Army there, but I recently read an article which states that he and a good deal of officers after the war believe that it was Bulow who was at fault for not taking the initiative and being too conservative. This somewhat makes sense as the modified Schlieffen plan would require great aggression, and that if Bulow had acted aggresive as Von Kluck he would likely not have been encircled. I don't want to play historical what-if, but whom do you consider more responsible for the defeat and why?

Normans are fascinating to me. Viking warriors from the north who forcibly settled in French lands, quickly adopting the local language and religion, yet retaining their own distinct identity. They soon became famed as fierce but brave warriors who conquered England, Southern Italy, and even set up Crusader States in the Levant of all places.

Where do I go for more information about Norman culture and history? I specifically want to study the process of cultural change that the Normans went within a few generations from being pagan Norse-speaking warriors to Christian French-speaking knights. Also, why were the Normans, who were famous and feared in the early Middle Ages, not much heard of during the Hundred Years' war between France and England and thereafter? Was there a specific event that caused the decline of Norman power and prestige?

Was there an era due to a specific event or turning point when colonists or people in Australia who originated from the British isles and their descendants adopted and developed their own national identity and culture e.g identified less with Britain or in more crude terms "the mother country"? I could imagine that such a shift would benefit women (because society maybe cant afford to exclude them from the workforce), but also that it could also hurt them (there are less men to compete for in terms of finding a partner, and this can lead men to dictate the terms in ways more favorable to them).
