Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but we'll see. I am Scottish and was looking to get a Pictish Tattoo done. I if there was a difference between the art of the Picts and the Celts as they both seem to be close.

Edit: I have't been able to find a large amount to Pict tattoos or designs and was also wondering if there is any reference material?

I keep hearing people post that history is from 'his story', but I was under the impression history was from the Greek word historia which was roughly translated to acquire knowledge through investigation. It bothers me how random and contradictory Google has been with providing answers. Please help, thanks.

What I mean by this is, when did it go from just being "The Siege of (insert place name here)", "The invasion of (Insert other place name here)" to things like "Operation Vigilant Resolve" and "Operation Overlord"?

Was it with the rise of radio, or did it happen before? What was the first operation to be given a name like that?

Does a list of nobles, royals their marriages and descendants exist?

I was reading Richard Kings 'Civil Rights and the Idea of Freedom', in it he quotes various sources such as Clayborne Carson who claims that "black students would have rebelled-without king- for they had other tactical and ideological inspiration besides king". So I ask, what else impacted the Civil Rights movement? and How much of an impact did MLK have? Thanks

I'm an American who has recently returned from traveling abroad, and I was repeatedly surprised and dismayed to hear our tour guides (highly intelligent and educated people without exception) refer casually to ethnic and gender stereotypes.

This made me really curious. Did anything similar happen throughout history? Also, how much do we know about the 1561 celestial phenomenon at Nuremberg? It seems like a very interesting subject, but you don't hear about it too often.

How democratic was it? How does it compare to modern republican constitutions and whatnot? Did people take the constitution seriously and abide by it? I'm just curious as to the system/power structure that Rome had during its rise to hegemony

When Jesus was supposedly alive, wouldn't there have been some Roman or Greek historians writing about him. I haven't heard of any.
